Learn more about time
What is the perception of time? In earlier times, men went hunting by full moon because this gave them the best light. Women would promptly then have their period. The men were not at home so being fertile was unnecessary.
Later Galileo Galilei discovered the law of pendulums, because he saw a chandelier moving as a result of a gust of air. Christiaan Huygens built on this thought with his invention of the (pendulum) clock. Through the years we have used water clocks, hour glasses sundials and candles to measure time.
